About the tool

A focused STEP/STP to STL converter for small CAD files.

This site is built as a lightweight web utility: upload one STEP or STP file, convert it to STL, preview the STL output, and download it. It is intentionally narrower than a full CAD platform so it can stay fast and stable on a shared VPS.

What it does

The converter uses an OpenCascade-based backend to mesh small STEP/STP models into STL files for quick inspection, 3D printing preparation, or import into tools that accept STL.

Single STEP/STP file uploads up to 30MB.
Fast, Standard, and High output mesh presets.
Generated STL download plus browser preview of the output model.

What stays out of scope

The public MVP avoids features that would add risk before real user feedback is available. It does not promise full CAD repair, batch conversion, or private file vault behavior.

No input STEP preview in the browser.
No account, dashboard, history, or payment flow.
No guarantee that every vendor-specific CAD export will convert successfully.

Why the limits exist

The first public version runs conservatively so the converter does not crowd out other services on the VPS. The 30MB limit, one-at-a-time conversion lock, quota, and cooldown are stability controls, not artificial product tiers.
